Employment Verification

The University of Massachusetts is now part of The Work Number®, an independent service, which provides our current and former employees and verifiers with rapid verification 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

  1. For Proof of Employment or Income, provide your creditor:
    • Access Options for Creditors: visit the  or call: 1-800-367-5690 or 1-800-367-2884.
    • Â鶹¹ÙÍø Employer Code: 18128
    • Your Social Security Number
  2. To retrieve an Immigration Support Letter, you need to:
    • Access The Work Number® website and Select Manage My Employment Data and then Login
    • Â鶹¹ÙÍø Employer Code: 18128
    • Select Commonwealth of Massachusetts/University of Massachusetts - click Next.
    • Your Username (Username is your Social Security Number (SSN) - 9 digits, no dashes, no spaces)
    • Your PIN (if first time, use your birth year and last four digits of your SSN)
    • Go to "The Letters Center" and click the PDF icon next to Immigration
  3. Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Form Fulfillment with The WorkNumber
    • Access The Work Number® website and select Manage My Employment Data and then Login
    • Â鶹¹ÙÍø Employer Code: 18128
    • Go to "The Letters Center" and click the PDF icon next to Public Service Loan Forgiveness.
    • Select Commonwealth of Massachusetts/University of Massachusetts - click Next.
    • Review your prepopulated personal data in five simple steps.
    • After reviewing your personal information, download and print the form.
    • An authorized representative's name will appear on the form (from the Â鶹¹ÙÍø President’s Office). If an employee attempts to change any information on the PSLF form, the representative's name will be removed, and the employee will need to get a manual signature.

*Note: A Salary key can be created by the employee and handed to a verifier in the rare occurrence that the verifier is not a verifier with The Work Number®.
