Public Announcement of Theses and Dissertations
Â鶹¹ÙÍø Dartmouth Graduate Studies requires all thesis and dissertation defenses to be publicly announced to the community, via Â鶹¹ÙÍøD Announce, a minimum of two weeks prior to the defense date.
- To add your defense to Â鶹¹ÙÍøD Announce, please submit via the University’s Events Calendar. Once entered and properly tagged, defenses will appear on this website. Defenses no longer need to be submitted separately to Â鶹¹ÙÍøD Announce.
- A job aid explaining how to enter a defense to the Events Calendar is available.
- Please note that submissions must be entered before 4 p.m. Thursday to be included in the following Monday's edition.
- For any questions regarding defense submissions, please contact calendar@umassd.edu.
- If your announcement does not meet this requirement, the Office of Graduate Studies will notify you that your defense must be rescheduled.
- When scheduling your defense date, be sure to allow sufficient time for the development and approval of the announcement.
- Your program of study may set a longer period of advance notification; please check with your graduate program director to confirm your program’s advance notification requirement.
Please note that Â鶹¹ÙÍøD Announce requests can only be submitted by faculty/staff of the University.
