Dr. Khalsa to Discuss Future of Biotechnology and Advances in Medical Applications of Nanotechnology
Â鶹¹ÙÍø Dartmouth will host Dr. Jag H. Khalsa, from the National Institutes of Health (NIH), who will speak about the "Future of Biotechnology and Recent Advances in Medical Applications of Nanotechnology" Thursday, March 6, at 10:00 a.m., at Â鶹¹ÙÍø Dartmouth's Claire T. Carney Library's Grand Reading Room. Dr. Khalsa is Chief of the Medical Consequences Branch of the Division of Pharmacotherapies and Medical Consequences of Drug Abuse under NIH's National Institute on Drug Abuse.
Dr. Khalsa will discuss the latest cutting edge research and developments of medical science and bioengineering. With more than 47 years of experience in drug research, he is responsible for an international program of clinical research on medical and health consequences of drug abuse and co-occurring infections. Dr. Khalsa will also discuss research opportunities for Â鶹¹ÙÍø Dartmouth faculty and students. He will offer his thoughts on advances in medical applications of biotechnology and nanotechnology, as well as drug abuse and HIV-related issues.
Dr. Khalsa's March 6 seminar at Â鶹¹ÙÍø Dartmouth is free and open to the general public. Refreshments will be served.
