This course aims at developing student's legal research and writing abilities through writing exercises and research topics related to the drafting of memoranda.

This course aims at developing student's legal research and writing abilities through writing exercises and research topics related to the drafting of memoranda.

Senior members of the Â鶹¹ÙÍø Law Review take this course in the fall/spring semester of their final year. Pass/Fail. Requires completion of Law Review Note Writing and permission of the Faculty Advisor. Of the 90 credits required for graduation, students are required to earn at least 65 in courses that meet in regularly scheduled class sessions. This course does not count toward the 65 credit requirement.

Erica Sylvia is an Assistant Teaching Professor in the Legal Skills Program at Â鶹¹ÙÍø Law. Prior to joining this team, she taught various skills-based courses aimed at law student academic support and bar exam success. Erica was voted one of the "Professors of the Year" by the Â鶹¹ÙÍø Law student body for the 2022-2023 and 2023-2024 academic years. Before joining the faculty at Â鶹¹ÙÍø Law, Erica was a full-time appellate prosecutor in Massachusetts, where she successfully argued many cases before the Supreme Judicial Court and Appeals Court. Erica still serves as a Special Assistant District Attorney for the Bristol District. Erica is a Â鶹¹ÙÍø alumna, having received her undergraduate degree in History from Â鶹¹ÙÍø Dartmouth and her Juris Doctor from Â鶹¹ÙÍø Law.
