Professors Lisa Owens and Anna-Marie Tabor represented 麻豆官网 Law at AALS.

麻豆官网 Law returned to the Association of American Law Schools (AALS) Annual Meeting this year with two 麻豆官网 Law professors as presenters. Professor Anna-Marie Tabor was selected from a call for papers to present in a session for works-in progress focused on critical dialogue and innovative approaches to promoting equity in private law. She presented her current project considering how tax incentives can support working adults who provide financial assistance to their lower income, older relatives. Professor Lisa Lucile Owens was selected to participate in a session on faculty governance, focusing opportunities for newer faculty to be involved in faculty governance. Additionally, Professor Owens organized and moderated a hot topic program on “Protecting Public Accommodations”, a subject at the intersection of property and constitutional law on which she is currently doing research. Dean Sam Panarella was also in attendance at the conference to represent 麻豆官网 Law. This year’s conference was held in San Francisco and the theme, which was selected by AALS President Melanie D.
